Our process

How selling works

1. Send photos and detailsUse our request form, email or text. Tell us roughly how many records you have and add photos.
2. Get a reply within two business daysWe review your photos and send a written appraisal listing the records that drive the value.
3. Agree on a priceOur offer is based on recent sold prices for the same pressings in similar condition. We'll walk you through the numbers.
4. Get paidFor large or valuable collections, we come to you, check the records and pay before we load them. For smaller lots, we send boxes and prepaid labels and pay the day they arrive.

How to send pictures

Photos that get you an accurate offer

Clear, well-lit photos let us value your collection without seeing it in person. Please include:

• The whole collection: wide shots of shelves or boxes with the spines readable
• Covers: front and back of your 10–20 best records
• Labels: close-ups of the label on each side
• Runout etchings: the small writing near the label, which identifies the pressing
• Condition: any scratches, warps, water damage, seam splits or writing on covers

How we pay

Payment options

We pay on the spot at house calls, or the day a shipment arrives and passes inspection, by whichever method you choose:

• Cash at house calls
• PayPal
• Zelle or Venmo
• Check by mail
• Bank wire for larger collections

House calls and shipping

We come to you, or we cover shipping

House calls: for large or valuable collections in Southern California, we visit by appointment. We look through the records in person, confirm the offer, pay you on the spot and carry everything out.

Prepaid shipping: for smaller collections, or if you're outside our house-call area, we send sturdy record boxes and prepaid shipping labels. Very large collections may ship by freight, and we arrange and pay for that too.

When a shipment arrives, we check it against your photos. If the records match, we pay the agreed price. If the condition is different, we explain what we found and make a revised offer. If you decline it, we ship your records back free.
