Original jazz pressings from the 1950s and '60s are some of the most sought-after records there are. We read the labels, catalog numbers and runout etchings, so a first pressing is paid like one.

- Spiritual jazz, soul-jazz and fusion from the 1970s
- Latin jazz, bossa nova and vocal jazz
- Private-press and small-label jazz
What affects the price
On collectible jazz pressings, the label address, deep grooves pressed into the label area, mono vs. stereo, and engineer stamps in the runout can change a record's value many times over. Photograph both labels, the back cover and the runout of your best records.

Are my old jazz records valuable?
Original pressings of in-demand artists and labels can be, especially in good condition. Later reissues are usually worth much less. Send photos of the labels and runouts and we'll tell you.
Do you buy jazz reissues?
Yes, as part of a collection. Some audiophile reissues also sell well on their own.
